Dear friends of endarofta,

Thank you very much for promoting the aid project in your community and for continuing to do so.

School principal Brother Nyamba, on behalf of the students and all staff, also joins in this gratitude. He sends us God’s blessing.

Attached are some pictures of the equipment we were able to purchase thanks to your support. This includes masks, thermometers, cleaning supplies, washing stations, and disinfectants. With this, a basic supply for the school has been acquired.

Since then, children are checked daily for fever and asked about their well-being each day. Teachers and staff are also checked daily. Showers and toilets can be cleaned daily with disinfectants, and handwashing stations have been set up across the grounds, which is by no means a matter of course without running water. Additionally, masks are provided to students, teachers, and staff, which are centrally boiled. Surface disinfectants have also been purchased to thoroughly clean critical areas, such as the food distribution points. According to Brother Nyamba, the students are now generally safer in the school, given the good supply and the secluded environment of Endarofta, than they would be at home with their families.

Of course, we are only at the beginning of our work. But we are very pleased that we could successfully complete this first project. Our focus is now returning to the original goal: establishing a computer room. Furthermore, we will monitor the development of the Corona pandemic at the school and stay in close contact with the principal.

We look forward to further successful collaboration with you!

Best regards, David & Kirsten Schellhaas (Chairpersons 1 and 2)
